Hours and Fees
The program basically follows the Washington Central Supervisory Unified Union School District calendar with a few modifications. School vacation weeks are the same or extended. There is school on Indigenous People's Day and Martin Luther King's Birthday.
Act 166 provides for 10 hours a week for 35 weeks of publicly funded pre-k for children who are 3-4 years old as of Sept. 1 of a given school year and are enrolled in a pre-qualified pre-k program. Currently, 5 year olds are covered until their 6th birthday. Nature's Niños is a pre-qualified pre-k program.
Session 1: Bi-lingual Program: Mondays and Tuesdays 8:30a.m.-1:30p.m. Total: 10 hours No charge to families.
Session 2: Spanish Immersion Program: Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30a.m.-1:30p.m. Total: 10 hours No charge to families.
Both Session 1 and 2: Mondays through Thursdays 8:30a.m.-1:30p.m. Total: 20 hours (10 hours publicly-funded, 10 hours paid.)
Note: Out-of-pocket tuition for hours not covered by Act 166 is equivalent to the state remuneration: 2023-24 school year $3,764 which is $53.77a day for pre-k hours.
